The founders of the Kahma Healthcare Group established The Biovac Institute – the only local human vaccines manufacturing entity in partnership with the South African government.

Since its inception Biovac has grown from strength-to-strength and today is an independent company controlled and owned by Kahma’s empowerment partners.

Kahma Biotech enjoys a strategic and synergistic relationship with Biovac, where Kahma focuses mainly on the commercialisation of biotech products including vaccines targeted at adults whilst Biovac is a specialist vaccine manufacturing company.
